A wonderful day in the North West Highlands. Shortly after dawn it was obvious it was going to a nice day as the early morning sun hit Creag Dubh above Kinlochewe.

Above and below, Liathach, Spidean a’ Choire Leith and Pyramid Buttress.

Below, Coire a’ Chaorachain. Significant accumulations of fresh windslab have accumulated even to relatively low levels on Easterly aspects, here about 700 metres. Cornices will become prone to collapse during Saturday night.

Below; Beinn Bhan from the roadside, mid morning on Saturday.

    Much harder work needed to reach Meall a Ghuithais today than expected but the views made the trudge worth it!
