More of the Same

5th January 2019

Cloudy and mainly dry today. Cloud hugged the summits all day with the cloud base around 700m. No change to the snow amounts with only lingering patches of old firm snow around some higher summit slopes remaining. There is a thin ‘crusty’ covering of the most recent light snowfall persisting on the higher inland summits. Looking like it could be more ‘wintry’ beginning of next week with gales and squally snow showers – fingers crossed!
