In Search of Snow

30th December 2018

Bad timing ascending the Beinn Eighe NNR mountain trail to Conservation Point where there is normally a grand vista into the northern coires of Beinn Eighe – low cloud, driving rain and very mild as I emerged at the viewpoint! No snow observed. In fact, not much at all observed…..

A ‘summery’ looking Creag Dhubh at the east end of Beinn Eighe above Kinlochewe.

From the mountain trail looking onto Slioch and Beinn a’ Bhuinidh on the right. Loch Maree and the Beinn Eighe NNR Caledonian pine forest in the foreground.

The ‘grand vista’ of Beinn Eighe from Conservation Point.

Meall a’ Ghuithais from Conservation Point.
