Easter Blog

13th April 2017

We’ll be posting a Torridon blog over the Easter weekend with photo updates on the very limited snowpack. Today was mostly wet with pulses of rain at lower levels falling as sleet and wet snow above 700m and persistent cloud around the summits. Most likely more of the same tomorrow; it will feel cold on the summits with more light snowfall possibly lying as low as 600m and fresh Westerly winds.(Above)  Creag Dhubh of Beinn Eighe. A dusting of fresh wet snow down to 700m. and limited patches of old snow remaining.(Above)  Liathach from Glen Torridon. Cloud clung to the summits all day, although brightening later.(Above)  New snow on Beinn Eighe ridge and in Coire an Laoigh.A bit of brightness on Beinn Damh above the head of Upper Loch Torridon.
