A very blustery day!

20th March 2017

Gale force wind today with some overnight snow showers on the tops, some wind slab has developed on wind sheltered steep terrain such as gully tops and corrie rims. There are some cornices rebuilding.

Blue skies over Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe this early morning. Winds were gale force.

By the time this photo was taken it was a grey sky.

For climbers that are still optimistic for some winter lines here is an image on Beinn Bhan, Applecross. It would improve with some snow and a freeze!
