Broken Cloud and Cold

12th February 2017

Yet another good day in Torridon. Some summit inversion cloud spilling over from the east, but good amounts of sun also. Bitterly cold and a high windchill at summit level. The snowpack remains thin and stable. Localised deeper accumulations continue to consolidate.

Creag Dhubh at the east end of Beinn Eighe looking wintry. Typical that it cleared of cloud on the way out!

East ridge of Creag Dhubh – bare on the southern aspects, deeper accumulations on the ridge flank facing north-east.

Looking north to Slioch and the Great Wilderness mountains on the left and the Fannaich mountains on the right.

Yet another profile site with a view.
