Wet End to 2016
31st December 2016
Even less snow on the hill than yesterday! The heavy rain and unseasonably mild temperatures have diminished the limited snowpack further. But, the rivers and burns are in spectacular flow. It gradually cooled this afternoon behind a slow moving and very wet cold front, with snow forecast overnight and tomorrow.

Possible to pick out an odd patch of snow on Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe, through the rain haze.

Liathach and Glen Torridon in the rain – but we could see to the summits.

Strips of water (not snow) running out of Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe.

Met mast at Sgurr a’ Chaorachain, Bealach na Ba, Applecross. You can access the weather data here through the Met Office website – Mountain Forecasts.

Surf’s up! The A’ Ghairbhe running into Kinlochewe.
