A bright day between showers

16th January 2015

Heavy snow/graupel showers today running on a strong cold NW wind. High windchill – baltic! Hard going lower down on breakable crust but still snowfree areas visible, particularly on ridges and summits exposed to the recent winds. Lovely between the showers.

The usual view of Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe. It always clears on the way out!

Spindrift visible above Coire Domhain. Windslab forming on a NE aspect in a strong NW wind? The influence of local topography.
