Rain and Vanishing snow

23rd December 2023

A very wet day with persistent driving rain and a freezing level zipping way above the summits by dawn. The snow quickly disappeared at lower levels but deeper accumulations are hanging on above 800 on mostly NE aspects. Drier and getting colder tomorrow.!

Heading to Creag Dubh – Bheinn Eighe via the beautiful Scots Pine

A dusting of snow above 600m but more accumulations above 800m on Creag Dubh
