Dry and blustery today, return to rain tomorrow.
20th February 2023
A dry day in the Torridon area with strong South-Westerly winds. The could was hanging around the summits during the morning, brightening a little in the afternoon with some pleasant sunny spells.
The old snowpack is becoming more patchy and is mostly found on North to East aspects above 800 metres.
The forecast is for gale-force South-Westerly winds. This evening, wintery snow-sleet showers are forecast above 900 metres, these showers will turn to rain by midnight as the freezing rises above the summits.
