Poor Visibility and Drizzle

14th February 2022

There were no views of the higher summits, with the cloud base remaining around 700 metres for much of the day. There is only patchy snow cover below this level, which is moist and thawing.

However, tomorrow is a different day and the photographs should look a little whiter as snow is forecast to lower levels.

The “view” up towards Liathach. Unfortunately the cloud base didn’t lift much above this level.

The snow pit site at 600 metres, showing a moist and well consolidated snow pack.

The summit of Beinn Liath Bheag 664 metres (a Graham Top for hill baggers). This can provide a fine view of the Fannaich’s when the cloud base is a little higher.
