Storm Malik
29th January 2022
A blustery stormy day here in Kinlochewe, storm Malik making an exit to the East by the afternoon, leaving what we expects to be a dry and cooler night ahead. There were some trees down in village and the practical locals with their chain saws had opened the road and had the debris tidied away in no time.
There is as previously reported very little snow left and the isolated lonely patches are wet but generally stable. These patches will firm up over-night as the temperatures lower. As storm Corrie approaches from the Atlantic we can expect strong gale strength winds again and by tomorrow. By late morning some heavy snow showers are forecast which should see a return to more normal wintry conditions.
