A Clear Morning

An unexpectedly bright start to the day this morning. First thing was clear with some good views before more cloud developed through the day. Ruadh Stac Beag my plan for the morning did also appear to remain the clearest hill in the area with most of the surrounding peaks disappearing into the cloud around mid morning. Some of the snow from yesterday remains above 850m with some verglas on the rocks near the summits. This thin layer of new snow will melt rapidly with the onset of rain tomorrow morning. Remaining old snow patches can be found around coire rims and in gullies on North to East aspects. Most locations are now bare ground.
Looking into the North side of Beinn Eighe in the good weather early this morning. From left to right peaks are, Creag Dubh, Sgurr Ban, Spidean Coire nan Clach and Ruadh Stac Beag.
A closer look at the peaks of Sgurr Ban and Spidean Coire nan Clach, Beinn Eighe, only limited patches of old snow and a dusting of new snow.
Looking across to Ruadh Stac Mor (1010m) when it emerged from the cloud. This is as clear as it got before cloud covered it again. Fresh snow can just be seen near the summit in the break in the cloud.
Looking to Sgurr nan Fhir Duibhe (963m), Beinn Eighe with the Black Carls left of the summit on the skyline. The new snow is more obvious in this photo.
Limited new snow and verglassed rocks at the top of Ruadh Stac Beag (896m) today.
