A cold, dry and overcast day on Beinn Eighe. Easy walking conditions on the lower level paths but slippy in places! The remaining snow is hard and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low….but the consequences of a simple slip on one of the remaining patches high on the mountain could be severe.
Little snow remains. Fuselage Gully appears mainly complete. The colder temperatures of recent days have left a thin covering of ice on the edges of the loch.

Below; To the right, Coire Dubh Mor. I met a couple of optimistic local climbers heading to “George” whose enthusiasm diminished as the corrie appeared and they went rock climbing at the coast instead.
