There were gale strength South-South-West winds today, the snow pack remains wet, thawing and continues to deplete. It’s generally stable. There is some firming up of the snow at higher levels with the freezing level gently lowering to around 780 metres. There are some light snow showers forecast with a bit more snow expected further inland away from the sea so we can expects some wind slab accumulation developing on wind sheltered North to East aspects above 800 metres.
