A wintry day.
12th March 2020
There was snow down to the road side this morning at Anancaun but the showers turned to sleet later. On higher ground there was drifting and visibility was generally poor. The older snow pack is steadily refreezing and stability is improving but we have wind slab instabilities gaining depth above 700 metres. The winds will be generally Northerly over night but then veering South-Easterly by the end of this forecasting period meaning that there will be quite a bit of snow redistribution.
