International Rescue
8th March 2019
I decided to check out the snowpack conditions on the more coastal mountains today, so off to Sgurr a’ Chaorachain by the Bealach na Ba. The rain, sleet and snow had arrived so it was difficult driving conditions gaining the Bealach with a snow covered road and drifting in a mini blizzard. Just as I set off up the hill, two vehicles collided head on after skidding in the snow. All unhurt except for the vehicles! With some pushing and bending of vehicle parts we managed to get them off the road. Leaving the vehicles, I escorted the two Chinese tourists from Beijing and a local driver gingerly down the hill to Applecross to sort things out. Then the snowplough arrived….. Then back to work…..
