Stunning Inversion

18th March 2016

Parked in the cloud and at 550 metres, walked out into warm sunshine with crystal clear views. Had to deviate to walk on any snow today – basically bare all the way to the summit! The snow softened very quickly in the mild inversion temperatures and direct sun, but remained very firm in the shade. Great walking conditions.
