Drizzle

10th March 2026

Low cloud and drizzle meant poor visibility for most of the day. Some spells of heavier rain around the middle of the day with brighter conditions later in the afternoon. Winds were strong South-Westerly.

The remaining patchy snow continues to thaw and diminish. Poor visibility meant conditions weren’t ideal for photographs, although they show the patchy nature of the cover.

Some snow in the forecast for Wednesday followed by a warming Wednesday night and further snow on Thursday and Friday.

Remaining snow in Coire an Laoigh, Spidean Coire nan Clach, Beinn Eighe. The path mostly clear of snow visible in the foreground.

The top of Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe. The snow round the coire rims is rapidly thawing although at midday today it was still necessary to either cross the snow or deviate onto steep consequential grass to avoid it.
