Another wintery day

28th March 2026

There was a good bit of fresh snow overnight with some further short but heavy showers today. Gale force Westerly winds made conditions challenging at higher altitudes.

There is a very brief warming around dawn tomorrow followed by another wintery day.

Photos below show conditions.

Sgurr nan Fhir Duibhe. This South aspect has less snow on the wind scoured summit area than lower down.

Sgurr Dubh. Note the rifting snow on the slope to the left of the summit.
