A little fresh snow

11th March 2026

There was a superficial covering of new snow in the Torridon area today. There was variability in snow amounts with only a trace on many of the more coastal hills, while some of the more inland hills such as the Fannichs had slightly more. Storm force Westerly winds overnight only eased slightly during the day.

Rain to the summits is forecast for Wednesday night followed by snow down to 500 metres by the end of the day on Thursday with Strong South-Westerly winds.
