South side of Glen Torridon

5th February 2026

Todays observations were from the hills on the south side of Glen Torridon. The hills photographed are where visibility was best, most of the Torridon area was under cloud all day. It was a dry day although winds across the summits were very strong making progress higher up difficult.

Similar conditions are forecast tomorrow, with even stronger Easterly winds than today. There is reasonable snow cover on most aspects above 700 metres, with snow very firm and likely to remain this way.
