More snow
4th January 2026
Overnight snow showers at all levels continued through the day. Strong Northerly winds led to further accumulations of unstable windslab in sheltered areas, mainly on East through South to Westerly aspects above 700m. Gullies, ridge flanks, coire rims and head walls are most affected.
At all levels deep snow is making travel on foot very hard going, with thigh deep drifts in places even at low levels.
