Coire Mhic Fhearchair

High pressure conditions continued to bring cold settled weather. Mainly clear today although clouds developed over some of the more western peaks at times. Thankfully only a few mid level clouds in Coire Mhic Fhearchair today, and these cleared to give a view of the very limited remaining snow. Some views into the North side of Liathach and some of the hills further South as well.
Remaining snow patches are firm and stable. Snow patches mainly lie mainly around coire rims, on steep slope tops and tops of some gullies on North to East aspects above 850 metres. While snow patches are very limited, the snow that does remain is very firm and has serious run outs, with potentially serious consequences in the event of a slip to trip.
Similar conditions forecast for tomorrow and Tuesday. The forecast now suggests snow above 800 metres in the Torridon area on Wednesday.

Morrisons gully, Sail Mor, Beinn Eighe. This usually hold snow well, only a small patch visible near the top today.
