Poor visibility
27th March 2025
Today was mild, and grey with drizzle, it felt like the clouds met the sea for most of the day with only a few brief clearings. Not ideal for photographs although there is some fresh snow forecast overnight and during the day tomorrow so hopefully some whiter pictures tomorrow. New snow amounts are not expected to be significant with a thin covering of new snow on bare ground above around 700 metres. Snow showers are forecast to continue into Saturday before another warming Saturday afternoon.

Looking across upper Loch Torridon to Beinn Allign in the clouds on the left and Liathach also in the clouds on the right.

A typical view today with the cloud base around 450 metres. Looking into Coire Roill with Beinn-na-Eaglaise on the left and a ridge heading up to Beinn Damh just visible on the right.

A waterfall in the Allt Coire Roll above the Torridon Hotel.

Slioch came into view in a brief clearing this afternoon.
