In Search of Snow
9th March 2025
Very mild, light winds and largely dry today, with good spells of hazy sunshine this morning. No change in the snow cover from the previous few days; the mountains are mostly bare, with slivers of slowly thawing old snow lingering around high coire rims, backwalls, and in deeper gullies.
All change for tomorrow. The hills should look more wintry with a dusting of fresh snow as a cold and showery northerly airflow arrives overnight.
Below are a few photos of current conditions in the Fannaich mountains in the north of the Torridon forecast area.
