Warm, wet and windy
20th February 2025
It has been a wild day around the Glen Torridon area today. Horizontal driving rain for the majority of the day, with just a few breaks.
The car thermometer was reading 11.5 °C during the afternoon and there were 2 frog rescues as they hopped across the road. It goes without saying that the rain has depleted the patchy snow cover and this will deplete further as the next wave of fronts pass through the next forecast period.
Photos to show the general lack of snow on the coastal hills, sunny aspects and lower hills of Glen Torridon. Expect more snow inland, especially on North and East aspects at higher elevations.
