A beautiful day.

18th January 2025

It was good to get some views at last to the summits today in the better weather. Confirmation of the fact that there is, to all intents and purposes, no snow left in the Torridon range.

Hence the suspension of Avalanche hazard reports will continue until the conditions change. It does not look likely that this will change in the next few days, but we will continue to review it on a daily basis. We will also continue to post weather information on the report page.

However, it was a stunning day for a walk today up onto a lovely hill just over 700 metres in height that has amazing views into the North side of the Torridon range, as well as stunning views North.

The weather is forecast to be similar tomorrow, so another nice day perhaps to be out and about. It is forecast to go colder with some rain overnight Sunday into Monday, but freezing levels are expected to remain just above summits, and no lying snow is expected.
