Rain and Hill Fog

27th December 2024

A day of poor visibility with persistent rain and drizzle at all elevations. And as it will have remained mild throughout the forecast period, the very limited snow cover will have diminished even further!

(Above) As good as it got today. Looking across Loch a’ Bhraoin onto A’ Chailleach in the Fannaich mountains.

(Above 2 photos) Where it’s all going – into the Abhainn Cuileig. Spot the bridge to give some scale. Crossing that old and wet suspension bridge was both the most hazardous and exciting part of my day! Hmm.

(Above) Looking down the Strath More where the Fannaich snows drain via the Abhainn Cuileag and the Abhainn Droma (Corrieshalloch gorge) into Loch Broom!
