A return to Winter

6th March 2023

As forecasted, winter has returned to the North-West.  There is now a cosmetic dusting on all aspects above 400 metres.  Initially I was going to say sea level but between the squalls of snow showers, the sun came out and melted it immediately.  Most of the snow is lying on unfrozen bare ground so melts as soon as it settles.  Above 600 metres, everything felt much drier and has a much more ‘wintery’ feel about it.
