Mild, Cloudy and Drizzle

23rd January 2022

Today was another day of low cloud, drizzle, and some showers. It feels like summer conditions underfoot with only a few snow patches remaining. These are mostly located around coire rims and in gullies on North to East aspects and are generally avoidable. Photo opportunities were limited by the low cloud level.

Looking into Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe. This is as good as the view of Beinn Eighe got today.

The thick cloud gave poor visibility. This was taken at 720 metres looking up into Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe. These Easterly aspects usually hold a lot of snow, only avoidable patches remaining just now.

Looking across to Sgurr Dubh (782m) with Loch Clair and Loch Coulin on the left. This was taken once I got beneath the cloud on descent. The cloud level seemed to be a bit higher on the South side of Glen Torridon.

Looking to Slioch (981m) during a break in the clouds.
