Gales and showers.

17th March 2020

It has been a windy and wet day here. The snow pack is depleting at lower levels but it is much firmer above 600m. There are some localised wind slab instabilities on steeper wind sheltered terrain such as coire rims and in the tops of gullies. These instabilities will extend and deepen as the snow redistributes and accumulates. There was some fresh avalanche activity noted on Beinn Bhan.
