Tropical Torridon
31st January 2020
Coireag Dubh Beag (left above) and Coire Dubh Mor on the North side of Liathach today. Theres been substantial snow loss overnight. Temperature at the 600 metre profile site was 8c and the burns were high.
Above, looking up a South West aspect towards Coinneach Mhor on Beinn Eighe. Most of the ground is free from snow and the ridge too is predominantly bare.
Above, the imposing bulk of Stuic a’ Choire Dhuibh Bhig, just under 900 metres has very little snow left today.
Below, looking from the road at the West end of the glen on to the South side of Liathach.
Finally, below. 11.4 degrees at sea level today, 31 January 2020. Â However disappointing the lack of snow is Torridon remains a stunningly beautiful place. Off now for coffee and cake in Torridon Stores Cafe…..
