Happy Ner’day!

1st January 2019

I hope y’all managed to get out today and clear the head…. If you did, good effort and you would have been rewarded with a fine day, improving through the afternoon – and some fresh snow! A light dusting of overnight snow above 700 metres, making it look wintry at least. Looking good for tomorrow; dry, cold and good sunny spells. Get out there!

The sun rises on 2019! The Beinn Dearg hills at the head of Loch Broom this morning.

A dusting of fresh snow above 700m on the main Fannaich mountains. Loch a Bhraoin in the fore.

Lingering patches of old snow observed on the NW aspect around the summit of Sgurr nan Clach Geala (highest peak). Ok, look closely!

Looking SW into the Torridon mountains, with Beinn Eighe and Liathach centre, Fuar Tholl and the Achnashellach hills on the left and Slioch on the right.

An Teallach.
