Dreich, a Scottish adjective meaning: dreary/bleak

Origin- Middle English, in the sense ‘patient..long-suffering’; German origin, corresponding to Old Norse- ‘drugr’ – ending, lasting.

Poor visibility this morning.

Burns and streams have more water today.

Every cloud has a silver lining.
