Stunning!!

20th January 2017

A beautiful day – stunning views and inversion conditions. Long time coming and despite the lack of winter conditions, a great day to be out for a mountain walk. The snow is very patchy and quite soft, particularly in the sun, but much firmer where it remains in the shade through the day.

Maol Chean Dearg from Beinn Eighe and a sea of inversion cloud behind.

Thanks for that Callum. We usually only get two or if we’re lucky, three spells of high pressure good settled weather through the season. And we appreciate them! Rest assured, there will be many more wet days to come too.
