Snow Showers Drifting Aimlessly
15th January 2016
Flogging through fresh snow over heather and boulder fields is not good for the soul! Reasonable snow cover, but no great depth to it except in localised windslab on lee aspects high up. Mountains looking very wintery though.
An Teallach seen through a rare break in the snow showers.
Easterly aspects of Meall a’ Chrasgaidh and the crags of Carn na Criche, Fannichs.
North top Beinn Liath Mhor Fannaich (left) – snow profile site.
Easy to be well organised when the weather allows!
Cold down, snow down = deer down. Usually near the main road!
Interesting patterns in the half frozen Loch Sgeireach.
Beinn Dearg range of hills. A835 at the bottom at 280m high point the Dirrie.
