The Day Long Coming
27th December 2015
The day we’ve all been waiting for! Relatively calm with a few clouds drifting aimlessly. Cold and sharp views and good snow cover albeit mostly superficial, but with a kicker in the form of breakable crust lurking just below the surface.

Roller balls indicative of mild temperatures, the snow falls off the rocks and with the right slope angle and snow humidity, snow balls gather momentum and size as they descend.

No glow anywhere to be found today Tom, including us! Oh, except the fire in the Torridon café.

Fantastic to see you out working on the hill today. It all added to the discussions about snow, weather, route choice and avalanche hazards for my clients.
