A Glorious Day

7th February 2015

It cleared on the Torridon hills today with wonderful views. The snow accumulation is spectacular on East through to Southerly aspects. However, with the freezing level around the tops, it was still hard going low down below 650m. High pressure will continue to dominate for a while so settled conditions are expected and the snowpack is consolidating. The major ice falls seem to be hanging in there!

Extensive snow cover Beinn Eighe. I'd kill for a pair of skis!
