Easter Sunday – Last Post

17th April 2022

A cloudy day today for our last forecasting day of the season. The snowpack is and will remain through next week, patchy, very limited and thawing at all levels. Currently, only slivers of snow remain below 750m. with most snow lingering on North to East aspects, mainly in steep locations. Basically, most ground is bare.

Below are a few cloudy hill photos showing the extent of the remaining cover.

Anyway, we at SAIS Torridon (Andy, Sandy, Colin, Gillian, Brian, Di, Keith and Heather) hope you all have a good summer, and see you next season. Thanks.

Thanks to all at the SAIS for providing these daily posts. For people like me, reading from afar, they are invaluable for assessing where and when to climb and inspire me to get out into the hills more.
