Summit cloud

12th March 2022

It was a pleasant day with light but slowly increasing Southerly winds and only very occasional light showers, falling as snow only on the highest tops. The cloud base was at around 800 metres restricting summit views as can be seen in photos below.

The snowpack is generally stable and slowly thawing.

Looking up The East ridge of Creag Dhubh. Plenty of snow on it’s North side where there’s shelter from Southerly winds.

Looking down from Creag Dhubh to the regenerating pines by the Allt a’ Chuirn.

Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe.

Snow around the rim of Coire Domhain.
