The last day of summer?

2nd January 2022

The day started off grim and progressed to very grim.  A challenging day with very strong winds and incessant rain from the outset.  Struggled to get my camera out for blog photos and missed the one opportunity to take a photo of the new snow (too busy trying to not get blown over).

Slioch (980m) and Beinn a’Mhuinidh (692m) and upward flowing water courses.

Struggling (and failing) to stabilise myself in the strong winds looking into the back of Beinn Eighe.

Footpaths have transformed into water courses.

Coire an Laoigh and the western end of Beinn Eighe from the South.  All below 1000m and remaining snow free.
