Snow, Ice and some Sun.

7th January 2022

A cold day in Torridon with a mix of snow showers and some sun. The hills look wintry but much of the snow of the last few days is lying on bare ground. Only in higher sheltered locations has it gained significant depth with isolated patches of windslab.

Below; Coireag Dubh Mor, to the West of the corrie pictured above. Significant ice has formed here over the last few days but it remains thin. A week ago this cliff was black.

Above; Looking North from the Torridon glen roadside to the ridge above Coire an Laoigh on Beinn Eighe. Pleasant early morning light.

Below; The view to the South walking out of Coire Dubh Mor at lunchtime just before a heavy shower blew in from the West.
