Further snow showers

25th February 2020

The snow showers are continuing for a while yet. It has been a day of poor visibility in the hills although the sun did try hard and there were occasional break throughs of winter sunshine. Winds were fresh mainly South-Westerly. There are underlaying weaknesses with in the snow pack and these seem to be persisting on most high aspects. Windslab is building in depth and extent in lee locations mainly North-West through East to South-East but Southerly to North aspects above 750 metres have weaknesses too!

Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe first this morning.

Looking up Coire Dubh Mor around lunch time.
