Snow.

27th January 2020

It has been a day of poor visibility with heavy snow showers in strong South-South-Westerly winds. Rain in the glen of course, just to get you really very wet before you reach the snow line. In fact it was the kind of day that if you like the outdoors but have an office job, then you’d be thankful for an excuse to remain indoors. But of course such thoughts barely enter our heads as we are delighted to get the opportunity to inform Mountain Equipment and Gore-tex that their test clothes are still keeping the water out!

These photos were about as good as it got today, there is new snow down to around 150-200m.

the Goretex they give you must be better than that they sell in the shops because I was drenched!

Hi Gregor. Admittedly, our Goretex waterproofs are relatively new. But washing, reproofing and not leaving in hot conditions when drying will help maintain the garments. Lovely dry day today!
