Continuing thaw

23rd January 2020

Today was another mild damp day with a diminishing snowpack, there is however some optimism on the horizon for colder temperatures. Visibility was poor today, the photos show the snow we could see.

Looking into Coire a’ Chaorachain, where you would hope to see more snow on Eastern aspects

A small area of snow on a northerly aspect below the mast on Sgurr a’ Chaorachain

Looking towards the cioch nose, hoping for the cloud to lift.

A view of the North-East aspects of Creag Dubh, Beinn Eighe at 907m with less snow than yesterday.
