Wintry and bright.

4th March 2019

Nice to see the snow back, we have cover from summit levels down to around 550 metres. There are only some isolated pockets of moderately bonded wind slab on some very high and steep gully tops where climbers could be affected and over the next 24 hours the wind is backing from West to East so cross loading may well affect climbers on gully exits too. The older patchy snow pack is generally well bonded. My apologies for referring to climbers only, but there is not  really enough snow for skiers or boarders yet!

View on the approach walk up along the Allt a’ Churn toward Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe.

Snow cover is down to around 550 metres.

A rainbow and Slioch.
