Sunshine and Showers – II

15th March 2019

More of the same today, but colder than yesterday, more intense showers and very strong Westerly winds, severe gale to storm force on the summits particularly during the showers! Significant snow transportation building windslab in sheltered areas.

Spindrift blowing horizontally of the top of the north top of Beinn Liath Mhor Fannaich ahead of a wintry shower.

Spindrift hanging in the sheltered coires of the main Fannaich mountains as a shower passes.

The snowline remains around 550m. Fresh snow was falling to low levels during the showers (mainly graupel and hail), but lying above 600m.

An Teallach becoming engulfed by the next shower.
