Sunny Kinlochewe

11th March 2019

Looking down from the Eastern end of Beinn Eighe to a sunny Kinlochewe and the top  of Fionn Bheinn, the pyramidal top just to right of centre.

The majority of the snowpack remains shallow, however localised areas of windslab exist on North to East facing slopes, particularly gully exits and  corrie rims as you can see in the picture above.

Drifting snow in the fresh North-Westerly winds this morning. There will some redistribution of this snow as the winds change to  South-West in direction, becoming storm force overnight accompanied by snow showers.
