Patchy snow cover

23rd February 2019

The mild weather continues and our snow pack is continuing to diminish. Today started out dry but soon heavy rain showers arrived. The gale force Southerly winds made for some difficult walking and higher up visibility was quite poor. There are loose rocks around which can be accidentally dislodged causing a hazard to those walking below.

Liathach was visible this morning but by lunchtime the summits were obscured by cloud.

Strong winds and bad visibility on the cols today.

View down towards Loch Clair from Stuc Coire nan Laoigh.

This little fellow was hopping along at around 600 metres.
